Shangrila Mactan is always the place to be. Everything is wonderful. Staff are all nice we were greeted with welcome drinks. The room has a lot of amenities and the bed is amazingly firm as always. The pools and beach access are great. The breakfast buffet could be a warzone but it is a wide variety. Will always come back here.

Wonderful concierge service. They took scale to the room to measure the weights of the luggages. They have a lively restaurant at the beach. They have wonderful food and service there. Wonderful managers and staff there at this restaurant. They listened our special requests for the food for the kid and provided wonderful and delicious food. By rain, they put our table into the restaurant and send us to the ocean wing lobby by club car. The beach and the pool is wonderful for a child between 4-12 years old. They are very clean and well decorated. They even provide pool toys. The beach has white sand and shallow water. The kids can feed the big fishes at the shallow part of the sea by the provided fish food by the staff. They provide snorkels which will be nice after the shallow part of the sea. The gym was very nice. They provide cold free water everywhere.

The food, cultural show, and staff were all great! The resort is sprawling with lots of things to do. This was my second time to come here because I wanted my grandkids to enjoy the fish sanctuary

Safety. Bags screened through scanner at entrance and k9 sniffing dog. Another example was when wanting to enter our room while it was being cleaned; staff asked your name and to swipe your card to prove it's your room, great! Privacy. Private beach. Own cabin during massages at Chi Spa. Quality. Everything is so beautifully laid out, designed, high-quality fabrics, bed, etc. Everything is so fabulous that even the trashbins look good. A must-mention: the food. Whatever you're having, it's all delicious. We recommend the Chinese restaurant, specifically their Chef's signature prawns with mango (starter) and the Australian beef (main).

The hotel is great. We had a lovely room - very big with excellent sea views. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic, there was pretty much anything you might like to eat. The beach was great. White sands, very clear seas and sun loungers always available. We enjoyed the choices of where to eat in the hotel and the quality of food was terrific. The gym was great with plenty of equipment and we were always able to get on the machines. I would recommend staying if you get the chance.

The beach was clean, not too big but plenty of lounge chairs to find a spot. Lifeguards were knowledgable and service was great. Breakfast was outstanding and the amount of food options phenomenal. We required vegan and gluten free food and Chef Rizzi and the entire team at the Tides restaurant went our of their way to prepare food according to our daily wishes! Our room was old but clean and spacious. Unfortunately we were located in the main wing above the main bar and loud music would play until close to 11pm every day. Fresh water was refilled several times a day and I love the fact that the hotel is making an effort to encourage sustainability with towels and sheets. The Chi Spa was excellent and its treatments, the surrounding and the staff a dream. The in resort app made requests and communication super simple.

Variations of activities, huge and beautiful. Our Rooms are spacious/high ceiling and very quite, their soundproof we haf a good sleep - Ocean Wing, rooms 3003 and 3004, very clean, nice view. Also, my boys had an hr of swimming lesson with coach Albinl, he is very good and both enjoyed and learned a lot.
